These are set and enforced by the riverwood.town moderators.

Be respectful
Do not harass, threaten, stalk, or deliberately intimidate other users.

No hate or discriminatory abuse
Do not promote or engage in hateful conduct targeting people based on protected or personal characteristics.

Adult content is allowed, but must be tagged
NSFW / sexual / otherwise explicit adult content is allowed, provided that:
- it only involves adults;
- it is legal;
- it is marked with an appropriate **Content Warning**;
- explicit media is marked as **sensitive**;
- it is not used to harass or deliberately expose unwilling users to explicit material.

No sexual content involving minors
Any sexualised content involving minors, including fictional depictions where prohibited by law or server policy, is not allowed.
Attempts to sexualise, solicit, groom, or exploit minors are prohibited.

Respect privacy
Do not post someone else's private or identifying information without permission.
This includes doxxing, private messages, addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive personal information.

No spam, scams, or malicious activity
Do not use Riverwood for:
- spam;
- phishing;
- scams or fraud;
- malware;
- credential theft;
- malicious links;
- deliberate attempts to compromise accounts or systems.

No deceptive impersonation
Do not impersonate another person, organisation, or project in a way that is intended to mislead others.
Parody and roleplay are fine when they are clearly presented as such.

Respect consent and boundaries
Do not repeatedly contact users who have asked you to stop.
Do not distribute intimate or sexual material involving another person without their consent.

Use content warnings where appropriate
Please use Content Warnings for material that may reasonably be unexpected or disturbing, including:
- explicit sexual content;
- graphic violence or gore;
- highly disturbing imagery;
- other content where a warning would help users make an informed choice.
Content Warnings do not make otherwise prohibited content acceptable.

Follow the law
Do not use Riverwood to publish, distribute, or facilitate content that is unlawful under applicable law.

Moderation
Moderators may remove content, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, or limit federation where necessary to enforce these rules or protect the community.
Context and severity will be considered when deciding on moderation action.
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may use Mastodon's appeal system where available.

No AI-generated or AI-altered artwork
AI-generated artwork is not permitted on Riverwood.
You may not post images, illustrations, or other creative works that were generated wholly or substantially by generative AI systems.
You may also not use another person's artwork, photographs, writing, or other creative work to:
- train or fine-tune an AI model without their permission;
- create AI-generated imitations of their style;
- alter, extend, redraw, or transform their work using generative AI without their permission;
- create derivative AI-generated content based on their work without their permission.
This rule applies regardless of whether the original work is publicly available.
Normal non-generative editing tools, such as cropping, colour correction, resizing, or manual retouching, are allowed.
Moderators may remove content where its origin is unclear and there is reasonable evidence that it violates this rule.
